i had one foot in APE and one foot in my LTK project and one foot in keeping the good company of my out-of-town friends, and unfortunately i don't have that many feet.
i did pick up some minicomics and art , my neighbors on both sides were super nice, though the guys from hawaii were probably sick of hearing me gab by the end of the convention. i can't shut up at shows - it's a nervous tick. i act outgoing and extroverted when what i really want to do is crawl under the bed and hide.
rival couple thien and lark manage to get their books ready for APEthien sells out of books, lark sells two.
thien's hand stich binding is worth it, my tape binding... maybe not so much.
laura park and geegar's new tribute to freddiethey also loaned me the movie (#3) so i can get up to speed on things
hellen's and calvin's minis are both brilliant and beautifulthey're like a decade younger than me and they kick ass way harder!

Jason Shiga's new romantic comedy which i didn't find at all to be funny, but
otherwise it was one of the best comics i have read all year
toast pin by scout (upper right)
my favorite zine by the lovely slj
Jesse Eisenhower and Veronica Graham
neighbors to my right, they had long beautiful printed scrolls
i am glad we got to meet

Those print scrolls were nutsoid in the best way. I kinda wish I had bought some of her stuff. Veronica Graham is what she's called.

Lark, I would love to snag a copy of Thien's SUMO before Xmas. Let me know how I can!
Adam
I have had a sharp looking SUMO poster for years, but had grown to believe it was a mythological comic book. Are you telling us it really exists?? But now it's sold out??
All of your comics finds look so great! This is a good time to be a comics reader...
